US President Donald Trump has instructed SpaceX CEO Elon Musk to rescue two NASA astronauts who have been stuck in space for over eight months due to a compromised Boeing Starliner. The astronauts, Sunita Williams and Butch Wilmore, were sent on an eight-day mission to the International Space Station in June 2024.
Trump made the request on his Truth Social platform, calling it “virtually abandoned in space by the Biden Administration.” Musk has accepted the task, stating that SpaceX will do everything possible to bring the astronauts home safely.
