Mark Zuckerberg Says ‘Everything I Say Leaks’

Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg expressed frustration about leaks from internal company meetings, stating “everything I say leaks” and implying he must be cautious with his comments. The remarks came during a company-wide meeting on Thursday, where the CEO discussed various topics including AI advancements, DeepSeek’s recent AI chatbot release, and Meta’s new partnership with the US government.

Zuckerberg acknowledged that discussing certain sensitive topics could lead to value destruction, but emphasized the importance of innovation and progress. He also highlighted the potential for Meta to build a productive relationship with the US government under the new administration. The comments came ahead of Meta’s fourth-quarter financial results release on Wednesday, which saw a 0.32% increase in stock price.

The tech company has a global workforce of over 74,000 employees and is expanding its efforts in AI development, including the recent open-sourcing of its Llama model. Zuckerberg described Llama as a competitive model that could benefit from further development. Meta’s CEO also expressed excitement about the upcoming year, saying it would be “big” for the company.

The meeting format was adjusted to cover main themes discussed during the question-and-answer session, and employees were allowed to provide feedback on the changes later.
