The US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has upgraded a chocolate product recall by Cal Yee Farms to a Class 1 status, the highest risk level. The recall affects nine states and includes products with undeclared milk, soy, wheat, sesame, FD&C #6, and almonds.
Dark chocolate walnuts, yogurt-coated almonds, butter toffee, dark chocolate almonds, and dark chocolate apricots are among the affected items. These products were distributed across California, Arizona, Virginia, New Mexico, Texas, Tennessee, Oregon, Ohio, and Pennsylvania.
The recall was initiated after an FDA inspection of Cal Yee Farms’ facility. Despite this, no illnesses have been reported in connection with the recalled products.
