Trump Administration Slams Selena Gomez for Immigration Rant

The White House and press secretary Karoline Leavitt have criticized actress Selena Gomez for her emotional response to ICE raids targeting undocumented immigrants who have committed crimes in the US. The Trump administration claimed Gomez’s cries were out of touch with the plight of victims, including children who were sex trafficked into the country.

Gomez posted a now-deleted video on Instagram, where she lamented the nationwide ICE raids and expressed sympathy for those affected. However, conservative critics accused her of being insensitive to the real victims of illegal immigration. Border czar Tom Homan criticized Gomez’s response, asking why she wasn’t crying for children who were sex trafficked into the country.

The Trump administration shared a clip of grieving mothers of murder victims who asked Gomez why she wasn’t shedding tears for their children. The clip featured Tammy Nobles, Alexis Nungaray, and Patty Morin, who expressed outrage that Gomez’s response seemed insincere.
