A new study by Brigham and Women’s Hospital and Harvard University has found that consuming seven grams of olive oil per day is associated with a significant reduction in cognitive decline risk. Over a period of 28 years, the research followed 92,383 participants and discovered that those who consumed the most olive oil had a lower likelihood of developing neurodegenerative conditions. The study’s findings suggest that olive oil can extend current dietary recommendations for overall brain health, particularly when used as an alternative to other vegetable oils.
