The Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra’s “Ultra” moniker has lost its luster. While it remains a large and great device, Samsung seems to have lost focus on what sets the Ultra apart from other devices.
When trying to find information about my husband’s flight using the phone’s AI assistant, I discovered that Samsung’s Gemini AI couldn’t even do a simple Google search. This highlights the AI’s limitations, which are supposed to be a key feature of this device.
The Galaxy S25 Ultra boasts an excellent screen, improved ultrawide camera, and rounded corners for comfort. However, it comes with significant drawbacks, including a hefty price tag of $1,299 and a bulky design.
Despite its impressive specs, Samsung has failed to innovate and make the Ultra truly stand out. The phone’s lackluster AI capabilities, coupled with minor design changes, make this year’s device feel like a rehashing of last year’s model.
