Hamas has released a U.S. citizen held hostage in exchange for prisoners. Keith Siegel, an American, was freed as part of the fourth round of hostages-for-prisoners exchanges under the Gaza ceasefire with Israel. The deal also allowed the Rafah crossing to Egypt to reopen for the first time in eight months, facilitating medical evacuations for Gazan patients.
