The US Food and Drug Administration has upgraded a recall of Lay’s Potato Chips to its highest level, Class I, due to potential undeclared milk ingredients. The affected product is the 13oz bag of Lay’s Classic Potato Chips, which were sold in Washington and Oregon.
Consumers with severe milk allergies are at risk of serious or life-threatening allergic reactions if they consume the recalled product. The recall was triggered after a limited number of bags were found to contain undetectable amounts of milk ingredients.
