Kings Trade De’Aaron Fox, Zach LaVine to Spurs in 3-Team Deal

The Sacramento Kings have traded guard De’Aaron Fox and guard Zach LaVine to the San Antonio Spurs as part of a three-team deal. The trade also involves the Chicago Bulls and multiple draft picks.

De’Aaron Fox, who is extension-eligible this summer, joins the Spurs alongside center Victor Wembanyama, one of the favorites to win defensive player of the year. Fox averaged 25 points, 6.1 assists, and five rebounds per game for the Kings before joining the Spurs.

Zach LaVine heads to Sacramento, where he will be reunited with former Bulls teammate DeMar DeRozan. LaVine is averaging 24.0 points, 4.8 rebounds, and 4.5 assists this season and has set personal marks in efficiency.

The trade benefits both sides. For the Spurs, Fox adds a high-scoring point guard who can play alongside Wembanyama. The Bulls receive Zach Collins, Tre Jones, and Kevin Huerter in return.

In exchange for Fox and LaVine, the Kings get a new starting lineup with Domantas Sabonis, while also acquiring multiple draft picks from the Spurs, including two first-round picks and several second-round picks.
