Frito-Lay has issued a Class 1 recall for select bags of its Lay’s Classic Potato Chips due to potential undeclared milk content, posing a serious health hazard. Over 6,000 13-ounce bags were recalled after the company voluntarily removed them from sale.
The affected snacks were only sold in Washington state and Oregon, with production codes 6462307xx or 6463307xx, and a freshness date of February 11. Despite an initial concern about potential allergic reactions, no reported cases have been identified by the FDA.
Consumers can verify the safety of their chips by checking the product’s labels. If you have concerns, contact Frito-Lay at 1-800-352-4477 for more information.
