Starbucks has announced plans to reduce its beverage and food menu by 30% this year, with a gradual rollout of new offerings starting in February. CEO Brian Niccol said the company aims to bring “fewer, better” beverages and foods to market.
Despite the reduction, Starbucks is bringing back two fan-loved drinks perfect for Valentine’s Day: the Chocolate-Covered Strawberry Crème Frappuccino and the Chocolate Hazelnut Cookie Cold Brew. The new menu will also feature a line of Blackberry Sage Refreshers, the company’s first-ever refreshers to combine berry and herbal flavors.
The Blackberry Sage Refresher is available in three varieties: made with water, lemonade, or coconut milk. According to a Starbucks insider, the original version is one of the better ones due to its balanced flavor profile, but some fans may find it too tart. The Midnight Drink, featuring coconut milk, is another favorite among reviewers.
Overall, the new menu brings back beloved flavors and introduces exciting innovations for customers to enjoy this Valentine’s Day season.
