At least 15 people were killed and dozens wounded when a car bomb exploded in the outskirts of northern Syrian city Manbij on Monday. The blast, which occurred near agricultural workers carrying vehicles, also injured several others.
The exact number of casualties varies according to different sources, with local civil defense reporting 14 women and one man killed, while Britain-based war monitor The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights stated that 18 women were killed alongside one man.
Manbij remains a hotspot in northeastern Aleppo province, where Turkish-backed factions continue to clash with US-backed Kurdish-led Syrian Democratic Forces.
