Chelsea Come Back to Beat West Ham, Move into Top Four

Chelsea recovered from a goal down to beat West Ham United 2-1 and move into fourth place in the Premier League. The winning goal was scored by substitute Pedro Neto in the 64th minute after an own goal by Aaron Wan-Bissaka lifted Chelsea ahead.

Jarrod Bowen gave West Ham the lead before halftime with a left-foot shot past Filip Jorgensen, who had earlier tipped a Cole Palmer free kick over the bar. However, Chelsea coach Enzo Maresca’s decision to make timely substitutions in the second half paid off as Neto scored the equalizer and Palmer created the winning goal.

Chelsea pushed for a third goal after taking the lead, but West Ham finished strongly and goalkeeper Alphonse Areola kept out efforts by Mohammed Kudus and Konstantinos Mavropanos. The win takes Chelsea two points above fifth-placed Manchester City and Newcastle United in sixth.

The result lifts Nottingham Forest to third place, while Manchester City remains just four points behind. West Ham boss Graham Potter was left disappointed after his team lost for the fourth time in their last five games.
