Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Cooper Kupp has announced that he will be traded by the team, citing a lack of agreement over his future with the organization. In a social media post on Monday, Kupp expressed his disappointment and gratitude towards the LA community for embracing his family during his time with the Rams.
Kupp, 31, was a key player in the Rams’ 2021 championship season, winning MVP honors at Super Bowl LVI. However, injuries have limited his production over the last three seasons. In 2024, he played 12 games and finished with 67 receptions for 710 yards and six touchdowns.
Kupp is currently under contract through 2026, carrying a cap number of $29.8 million in 2025. The Rams’ decision to trade him comes after Kupp’s statement that his career has only just begun, as he looks forward to playing elite football for years to come.
