Samsung is set to join the tri-fold smartphone market with its upcoming device, the Galaxy G Fold. After Huawei’s Mate XT announcement, the Korean giant has decided to enter the fray, aiming to rectify its lack of a tri-fold offering. The latest rumor suggests that Samsung will unveil the Galaxy G Fold in the third quarter of 2025.
According to tipster yeux1122, when completely unfolded, the Galaxy G Fold boasts an impressive display size of 10 inches. This is significantly larger than the Galaxy Z Fold 6’s 7.6-inch screen, measuring 30 percent more in size. The device will have a foldable design with both displays folding inward.
The dimensions of the Galaxy G Fold are said to be 9.96 inches by 6.54 inches when unfolded. Although no pricing details or chipset information has been disclosed, Samsung is expected to use an improved processor, potentially the Snapdragon 8 Elite with overclocked frequencies.
While the high price may limit market penetration, the device’s ability to deliver a tablet-like experience when fully unfolded could garner positive reception. After transitioning from its Galaxy Z Fold and Flip series, Samsung is introducing something entirely different – making this move significant in the company’s efforts to evolve its product line.
