Apple CEO Tim Cook has joined other major tech CEOs in congratulating President-elect Donald Trump on his US presidential election victory. In a social media post, Cook expressed his enthusiasm for working with the new administration to promote innovation and creativity.
Cook’s comments come after he called for a peaceful transfer of power from Trump’s presidency to Biden’s last January 6th, following the Capitol insurrection. This is not Cook’s first time speaking out on politics; in 2016, he emphasized the importance of engaging in conversations rather than just shouting about change.
Trump had previously claimed that Cook had complained about Apple’s $17 billion fine from the European Union. However, Cook remains committed to working with politicians and has repeatedly stressed the value of constructive dialogue.
