Capcom has been busy with two recent showcases, revealing new information about its upcoming titles. The publisher discussed several games, including the release date for Marvel vs. Capcom Fighting Collection: Arcade Classics on Xbox.
Marvel vs. Capcom Fighting Collection: Arcade Classics is now available digitally on Xbox, featuring seven classic games from the series, including X-Men Children of the Atom and Marvel Super Heroes. Capcom’s other fighting collection, Capcom Fighting Collection 2, will be released on May 16th for PlayStation, Switch, PC, and Xbox.
Capcom also showcased its plans for Onimusha: Way of the Sword, a new entry in the beloved series. The game is set in a beautifully eerie depiction of Edo-period Kyoto and features intense combat with an emphasis on satisfying swordplay.
Additionally, the publisher announced a remaster of Onimusha 2: Samurai’s Destiny, which will be released sometime this year for Xbox, PlayStation, Switch, and PC.
Capcom also highlighted its new character, Mai Shiranui, who will join Street Fighter 6 in February. The fighting game features her agile movements, tricky projectiles, and quick attacks, as well as a Say Hello to Mai fighting pass with customisation items. Elena is set to complete the character roster for Year 2.
The publisher’s showcases also included news about Okami and Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess, including the release of a demo and the availability of the original games in a two-game bundle.
