Saudi Arabia Rejects US Plan to Relocate Gaza Residents

US President Donald Trump has proposed taking over Gaza and relocating its 2.2 million residents, but Saudi Arabia swiftly rejected the idea. Riyadh stated that it will not establish diplomatic relations with Israel without a Palestinian state, and condemned the displacement of Palestinians from Gaza.

During a news conference with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Trump suggested the US take a “long-term ownership position” over Gaza and move its residents to another country. Hamas leaders strongly opposed the idea, stating that Palestinians in Gaza reject displacement. Saudi Arabia’s rejection marks a significant pushback against Trump’s proposal.
