NBA Star’s Son, Marcus Jordan, Charged with Misdemeanor after SUV Found on Railroad Tracks.
Marcus Jordan, 34, the son of basketball legend Michael Jordan, has been arrested in central Florida on a misdemeanor charge related to possession of cocaine. According to authorities, Jordan was found driving his Lamborghini sports utility vehicle stuck on railroad tracks with just minutes to spare before a commuter train passed by.
The incident occurred after officers from the Maitland Police Department smelled alcohol and noticed slurred speech and confusion emanating from Jordan during a traffic stop in a neighboring county. A search of the vehicle revealed a bag containing what tested positive for cocaine, which is classified as a second-degree misdemeanor.
Jordan has been charged with possession of cocaine and resisting an officer without violence. The former University of Central Florida basketball player was released from the Orange County Jail after refusing to comment on the matter to reporters.
