Paul Feig Defends Blake Lively Against Jason Baldoni’s Allegations

Paul Feig is defending his star Blake Lively amid a legal battle with director and costar Jason Baldoni over the film It Ends With Us. The A Simple Favor sequel, Another Simple Favor, will have its world premiere at South by Southwest (SXSW) on March 7.

Feig, 62, recently addressed rumors that two cuts of It Ends With Us were made, one supervised by Baldoni and another commissioned by Lively. He stated, “It’s my cut.” Feig has consistently praised Lively as a professional, creative, and kind collaborator.

The controversy began when Baldoni filed a $400 million lawsuit against Lively, Ryan Reynolds, their publicist, and her PR firm in January. Lively responded with a formal complaint of sexual harassment and a retaliatory smear campaign. Both parties have scheduled court hearings for March 2026.

Feig has publicly supported Lively in recent months, sharing links to articles about her allegations on social media. He also dismissed rumors that Another Simple Favor was being postponed, calling them “total BS.”

The sequel to A Simple Favor will reunite Lively with co-stars Anna Kendrick and Henry Golding. The film is set to be released on Prime Video on May 1.
