Apple has launched a new app called Invites that makes planning and hosting events easier than ever. The app allows users to create, customize, and send invitations to friends and family members with just a few taps.
Similar to other event planner apps, Invites enables users to share their event details with others through a link, which can be sent via text or email. Attendees also have control over how much information they share with the group, providing an added layer of privacy.
The app integrates seamlessly with other Apple services, including iCloud and Apple Music. Guests can participate in collaborative playlists using Apple Music for background music during the event, while shared albums allow attendees to post photos taken during the gathering. Weather and maps integrations help plan logistics and dress accordingly.
To make invitations more visually appealing, users can leverage AI-powered features like Image Playground and Apple Intelligence. However, there are some limitations – Invites is only available on iPhone running iOS 18 or later, and requires an iCloud+ subscription to use. Despite these requirements, RSVPing for events does not necessitate having an iPhone or an iCloud+ account.
