The San Francisco Chronicle reported on Draymond Green’s comments regarding Jimmy Butler and potential NBA trades.
According to sources, the Golden State Warriors are in talks to acquire Miami Heat star Jimmy Butler ahead of Thursday’s trade deadline. However, Butler stated that he would not sign a long-term contract extension with the Warriors if traded there.
Despite this, chatter resumed when The Athletic revealed that the Warriors believe they remain in the running for Butler. In response, Draymond Green shared his thoughts on the situation and issued a warning to the Heat forward.
Green expressed concern over Butler’s chances of being traded, stating that he must be cautious to avoid being sent to teams with limited market interest. This could potentially result in Butler ending up without any potential suitors.
Meanwhile, the Warriors are also exploring re-signing options for Phoenix Suns star Kevin Durant. However, it is unclear whether Golden State will make a significant move this season due to recent blockbuster trades like the Luka Doncic-Anthony Davis deal.
