Microsoft has released Windows 11 Insider Preview Build 22635.4440 (KB5045889) to the Beta Channel, bringing several new features and improvements for Insiders who have enabled the toggle to get the latest updates as they are available.
Modernized Windows Hello is a significant update to the authentication experience, designed to be intuitive and seamless. The updated visuals facilitate fast and clear communication, appearing on the Windows Sign-in screen and other authentication flows. A revamped credential user experience also creates a cleaner experience for passkey creation, supporting secured and quick authentication.
In addition to these features, this build includes general improvements and fixes that enhance the overall experience. Notably, touch keyboard crashes have been fixed, and an underlying issue causing IME candidate window issues has been addressed.
Insiders in the Beta Channel will receive updates based on Windows 11, version 23H2 via an enablement package. The toggle to get the latest updates as they are available can be enabled through Settings > Windows Update*. Features gradually rolled out to Insiders may not be fully localized and may change or be removed over time.
