Former UFC bantamweight champion Dominick Cruz has pulled out of his scheduled fight against Rob Font at UFC Fight Night 252 in Seattle on February 22. The event will now feature a matchup between Henry Cejudo and Song Yadong instead.
Cruz, 39, was set to return from a nearly three-year layoff but suffered an injury that forced him to withdraw. Details of the injury are not available.
Font, who lost his previous fight in October, is expected to remain on the card as the UFC seeks a replacement for Cruz. The updated lineup has been released, with Font’s opponent yet to be announced.
The revised card features several other fights, including Edson Barboza vs. Steve Garcia and Brendan Allen vs. Anthony Hernandez.
