2025 Subaru Forester Hybrid Arrives with Improved Fuel Economy

Subaru has unveiled the 2025 Forester Hybrid, boasting a 2.5-liter Atkinson-cycle four-cylinder engine, two electric motors, and a 0.7-kWh lithium-ion battery. The hybrid version of the compact SUV achieves better fuel economy than its nonhybrid counterpart, with an estimated 35 mpg combined versus up to 29 mpg combined.

Priced starting at $36,415 for the Premium trim, the Forester Hybrid’s top-spec Touring model will cost $43,115. This marks a significant increase over the least expensive nonhybrid model, but offers improved fuel efficiency and a more environmentally friendly option.

The hybrid powertrain is supported by Subaru’s True Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive system, which ensures predictable performance at all times. The Forester Hybrid also features unique dampers, sound-deadening material, and a 12.3-inch digital gauge cluster with native map display capabilities.

When the Forester Hybrid hits dealerships this spring, it will be available in four trims: Premium ($36,415), Sport ($39,415), Limited ($40,830), and Touring ($43,115). With its improved fuel economy and advanced technology features, the 2025 Subaru Forester Hybrid promises to be a compelling option for those seeking a more efficient and environmentally friendly SUV.
