Fast food chain Carl’s Jr. is bringing back its iconic bikini model advertisements for the Super Bowl. Eight years after pivoting on advertisement strategies, the brand has revived its retro approach with a new campaign featuring TikTok influencer Alix Earle. Earle, 24, stars in an ad for the chain’s “Hangover Burger,” which she describes as a modern twist on classic commercials that featured Paris Hilton, Kim Kardashian, and other iconic girls.
The ad depicts Earle walking through a party-ravaged neighborhood in her bikini top, touting the burger as the perfect cure for post-game hangovers. Earle says the burger contains “egg, double bacon – yeah, you need that double bacon – charbroiled beef, hash browns, cheese, and sauce.” As part of the promotion, Carl’s Jr. will give away free “Hangover Burgers” to users who belong to its rewards program.
The brand’s executives praised Earle for her bold style, which they say matches their own unapologetic approach. The campaign has been well-received on social media, with many fans praising the return to Carl’s Jr.’s old-school advertising style.
