Bungie has disabled Lord of Wolves in Destiny 2 due to excessive damage output from the shotgun. The Exotic weapon’s buff in Episode: Heresy caused it to deal too much damage, making it nearly unkillable in the game. This is the third time Lord of Wolves has been removed for a bugged activity since its release in Forsaken.
Players were able to test the weapon during Episode: Heresy, and their findings revealed that hip-firing with Lord of Wolves resulted in significant damage output, including Scorch stacking and increased Ignition damage. Bungie has now disabled the shotgun for the Sundered Doctrine World First race, allowing players to use other Exotic glaives.
While Lord of Wolves will be unavailable, players can still equip and use it outside of the dungeon. The World First race for Sundered Doctrine begins later today, providing an opportunity for players to participate in the new activity without relying on the disabled weapon.
