Israeli President Isaac Herzog has issued a challenge to regional neighbors to propose alternative solutions for the Gaza Strip. The president made this statement during an interview on “Sunday Morning Futures” following a meeting with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and former US President Donald Trump.
President Herzog clarified that President Trump’s proposal does not involve taking over Gaza militarily, but rather involves working with Arab leaders to create a sustainable plan for the region’s future. The president emphasized the importance of partnering with countries like Jordan and Egypt, which have signed agreements with Israel through President Trump’s first administration.
Herzog also expressed concern about the humanitarian crisis in Gaza, where terrorist groups have maintained control for years, causing suffering for the local population. He believes that a new leadership is needed to ensure a better future for the children of Gaza, Israel, and the entire region. The Israeli president invites his neighbors to present their own ideas on how to address the situation, saying “only under the leadership of President Trump do we see now a new idea come forward.”
