Square Enix’s long-awaited RPG Dragon Quest XII: The Flames of Fate is still in development, with its team working diligently to bring the game to life. According to Yuji Horii, the series’ creator, more information on the game will be revealed gradually over time.
The game, powered by Unreal Engine 5 and co-developed by Orca, a Japanese studio that previously worked on Dragon Quest XI: Echoes of an Elusive Age, promises significant changes, including an revamped command battle system. Fans eagerly await further updates on this highly anticipated main entry in the series.
Additionally, later this year, the remakes of classic games Dragon Quest I and II will be released on PC and consoles as part of the Erdrick saga, continuing the story following last November’s remake of Dragon Quest III.
