Janet Petro, a graduate of Metropolitan College’s Master of Science in Business Administration program, has been named acting administrator of NASA by the Trump administration. As the director of the Kennedy Space Center, Petro successfully fostered partnerships between the launch site and private companies to make space travel accessible to consumers. Her appointment marks a first for both her as an incoming leader and for women in high-level roles within NASA, making her a historic figure in the field.
