Apple CEO Tim Cook enjoyed a low-key Super Bowl weekend in New Orleans, dining on po’boys with NFL player Odell Beckham Jr. The tech mogul was seen ordering food at a local restaurant without being recognized by anyone around, thanks to his mild-mannered vibe and plain clothes.
Cook’s visit to the city came ahead of the highly anticipated Super Bowl match, during which he was accompanied by other Apple executives who had flown in to enjoy the game. In a video that has gone viral on social media, Cook can be seen sharing a meal with Beckham Jr. at Domilise’s Po-boys & Bar.
In contrast, some workers at the restaurant recognized Beckham Jr. but missed Cook entirely. Meanwhile, billionaire CEO Eddy Cue was spotted enjoying food at the same location without drawing attention to himself.
Cook also met with Apple employees during his visit to New Orleans. Retail boss Deirdre O’Brien shared a post on Instagram where she expressed her gratitude towards the team and described Cook’s weekend as “unforgettable”. The Apple boss also spent time with DJ Summit, who performed on a balcony overlooking Bourbon Street.
During his visit, Cook expressed enthusiasm for an eventful weekend in New Orleans, highlighting the opportunity to meet students, team members, athletes, and influential artists.
