OnePlus Watch 3 Launches in US and Europe with Upgraded Battery Life

OnePlus has announced that its Watch 3 will launch in the US and Europe on February 18th, featuring improved battery life and a new digital crown. The watch can run for up to five days without needing a charge, thanks to the combination of two chipsets: a Snapdragon W5 performance chip and a BES2800 efficiency chipset.

The battery life is achieved by using default health tracking settings and turning off the power-hungry always-on display. Heavy users who switch almost everything on can expect up to three days of battery life, while those who use the smartwatch’s power saver settings can get up to 16 days.

OnePlus’s upgrade in battery life is partly due to the new efficiency chipset, which also uses silicon carbon battery technology used in its recent OnePlus 13 phone. The Watch 3 has a 631mAh capacity, significantly larger than the 500mAh in the previous model.

The digital crown was redesigned to address user feedback, allowing for both pressing and rotating motions to navigate through apps and menus. The watch’s design has been updated slightly, with a stainless steel chassis paired with a titanium alloy bezel and sapphire crystal face, available in black and green versions.

No pricing information has been announced yet, but users can sign up for notifications from OnePlus to receive a $30 discount or win a pair of Buds Pro 3 earbuds or a OnePlus Pad 2.
