OnePlus, known for its mid-range smartphones, has officially announced the upcoming release of its first smartwatch, the OnePlus Watch 3. Launching on February 18, the watch boasts impressive battery life, a rotating digital crown, and advanced sleep-tracking features.
According to Celina Shi, Chief Marketing Officer for OnePlus Europe, the watch’s software seamlessly switches between two chipsets, enabling optimal efficiency and extended battery life of up to 120 hours. This is made possible by using a secondary BES2800 MCU chip, which allows for reduced power consumption.
The OnePlus Watch 3 features a larger 631mAH battery, utilizing the same technology used in the company’s flagship smartphone, the OnePlus 13. This significantly boosts energy density, providing long-lasting power and accurate sleep-tracking data.
One of the standout features of the watch is its rotating digital crown, similar to those found on Apple Watches. This allows users to navigate through apps and menus efficiently and intuitively. The watch also boasts a titanium bezel and sapphire crystal face, providing a premium look and feel.
The watch’s durability has been emphasized by Shi, stating that it can keep up with various activities and conditions. While pricing details are still unknown, the OnePlus Watch 3 will be available in North America and the EU on February 18.
