Apple has released iOS 18.3.1, a security-focused update that patches a critical flaw in Accessibility mode. The new release addresses a potential vulnerability that could have disabled USB Restricted Mode on iPhones and iPads while they’re locked.
The update is available for all iPhone models from the iPhone XS onwards, including second- and third-generation iPhone SE models. However, existing issues such as a keyboard problem with stickers remain unsolved.
Experts recommend updating to iOS 18.3.1 due to its serious security fix. While no new features are included in this release, the update addresses a critical concern that could have had significant consequences. If you’re using an iPhone from the eligible range and haven’t updated yet, it’s recommended to do so as soon as possible to take advantage of this important security patch.
