Hamas Sets New Release Date for Israeli Hostages

Hamas has announced that it will free three more Israeli hostages as originally planned, despite earlier threats of a delay. The terror group had threatened to postpone the release after claiming ceasefire violations by Israel. However, in a statement, Al-Qassam Brigades spokesperson Abu Obeida reaffirmed Hamas’ commitment to the terms of their agreement.

The announcement comes amid tensions between Israel and Hamas over the hostage release. President Donald Trump has indicated that he supports canceling the ceasefire if hostages are not released by Saturday at 12 o’clock. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has warned that the ceasefire will end if Hamas fails to meet its deadline.

The situation escalated after a violent attack in 2023, which resulted in multiple murders, rapes, and kidnappings. The conflict has led to ongoing violence and humanitarian concerns.
