AMD’s highly-anticipated Radeon range made a brief appearance at CES 2025, but a recent leak has provided some much-needed insight into the new graphics card. The GPU-Z screenshot reveals key specs for the RX 9070 XT, including a Navi 48 RDNA 4 GPU, 16GB GDDR6 VRAM, and 256-bit bus width.
The GPU’s performance is expected to be comparable to Nvidia’s latest offerings, with AMD’s strategy seemingly centered around competing in the mid-range market. The RX 9070 XT is rumored to sit between the regular RX 9070 and Nvidia’s RTX 5070 Ti, with a base clock speed of 2.57GHz and boost speed of 3.1GHz.
However, one notable trend is AMD’s ceding of ground in the high-end market, where Nvidia’s profit margins are significant due to the AI boom. The question now is how much consumers will pay for these new cards and whether they’ll offer significant value over existing options.
