A harrowing encounter between a kayaker and a humpback whale has been captured on video off the coast of Chilean Patagonia. Adrián Simancas was kayaking with his father Dell when the massive whale suddenly surfaced, trapping the young man in its mouth for a few seconds. “I thought it had eaten me and swallowed me,” Adrián said after the incident. Fortunately, the whale quickly released Adrián, leaving him unharmed.
