The Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) returns to Las Vegas’ UFC Apex for UFC Vegas 102 on February 15. In the main event, former middleweight title challenger Jared Cannonier looks to halt the climb of rising contender Gregory Rodrigues.
Cannonier, currently ranked No. 7 in the middleweight division, has gone 2-2 since losing his last fight against Caio Borralho in August 2024. Despite his recent struggles, he has a strong record at middleweight, with four knockout wins and one decision victory.
Rodrigues, outside the top 15, is seeking to change that tonight. He joined the UFC in 2021 after claiming the LFA middleweight title and has won three consecutive fights since December last year. The young fighter’s youth will be a significant factor in this bout, but he faces his first ranked opponent.
The odds have shifted in favor of Rodrigues, now a -225 favorite at +190 for Cannonier. However, experts predict Cannonier to win via knockout, citing the experience and skill that sets him apart from his younger opponent.
In the co-main event, veteran featherweight Calvin Kattar looks to end a three-fight losing skid against Youssef Zalal, who has won four consecutive fights since joining the UFC in 2023. The preliminary card features an intriguing strawweight matchup between Angela Hill and Ketlen Souza.
UFC Vegas 102 is scheduled for February 15 at 7:00 p.m. ET on ESPN+ with the main card starting at 8:00 p.m. ET.
