A skunk with rabies was found in the Stillwater Road area of Lexington, Kentucky, according to the Lexington-Fayette County Health Department. The discovery was made earlier this week and signs were posted on Friday to alert residents. No human exposure occurred, but a dog that came into contact with the skunk will be quarantined for 45 days. Residents are advised to ensure their pets have current rabies vaccinations.
