WME’s Ari Emanuel Backs Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds Amid Justin Baldioni Controversy

Talent agency WME dropped director Justin Baldoni over allegations of sexual harassment and trying to destroy the reputation of actress Blake Lively, who co-starred with him in the 2024 film “It Ends With Us”.

Lively sued Baldoni in December 2024 for harassment and defamation. Baldoni denied the claims before filing a defamation suit against Lively, also naming Reynolds in the motion. The couple denies the allegations.

WME’s parent company CEO Ari Emanuel appeared on the “Freakonomics” podcast, discussing the controversy. He defended Lively and Reynolds, stating that they are “good people”.

Emanuel has known Lively and Reynolds for over a decade and praised their charitable work and success in Hollywood. He believes Baldoni’s camp is using social media to spread false information.

The legal saga continues as Emanuel urges everyone to let the process play itself out, saying Lively and Reynolds have never had bad press about them.
