Apple CEO Tim Cook hinted at the upcoming release of the iPhone SE 4, which promises a more affordable solution for mass-market adoption while retaining flagship features. The device is expected to feature an A18 SoC, 8GB of RAM, and support Apple Intelligence, generating up to $11 billion in revenue by 2025.
According to analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, the iPhone SE 4 is forecasted to reach 12 million shipments in the first half of 2025 and 10 million in the second half. The device’s starting price of $499 is expected to drive significant revenue, with Kuo predicting $11 billion by the end of 2025.
The iPhone SE 4 boasts a new design, ditching the physical home button for a full-screen display, which likely supports Face ID. This massive hardware overhaul is expected to accelerate Apple’s ecosystem adoption and reduce the impact of seasonal fluctuations in sales.
While the device’s custom 5G modem has sparked patent litigation concerns from Qualcomm, Kuo suggests that Apple can circumvent this with a licensing fee. The iPhone SE 4 will be Apple’s first 5G-enabled model with an in-house modem, marking a significant technological breakthrough for the company.
