In an interview with The Times and Sunday Times, Altman described the Biden-Harris administration as “hostile” and unfriendly to tech and business. In contrast, he praised Trump’s administration for creating a more favorable environment for innovation and growth.
The Stargate project, which aims to build data centers across the US, has been criticized by some in the AI landscape. However, Altman sees it as an opportunity for OpenAI and other companies to develop their capabilities in semiconductor fab, robotic factories, and energy production.
Altman’s comments come at a time when there are growing concerns about China’s rise in the AI field, particularly with regards to its ultra-cost-effective AI model.
