Elon Musk’s DOGE Website Leaks Classified Government Info

Elon Musk’s new website, Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), has leaked classified information about the US intelligence agency, sparking concerns among government officials. The website, launched on Wednesday, provides details about federal staff, including budgetary specifics and employee headcounts. However, despite a note at the bottom stating that military and intelligence agencies are not included in the site’s employment data, classified workforce information remains viewable.

The National Reconnaissance Office (NRO), a government intelligence organization responsible for developing and launching American surveillance satellites, has seen its manpower and budget details exposed on the website. This is unusual since NRO data is typically not available to the public. Government officials are now scrambling to check if more confidential data has been leaked.

Intel officers have expressed concerns over how Musk’s team obtained the data and whether it should have been made public. They believe that 25-year-old programmers may not have had the necessary experience to handle sensitive information.

In response, a spokesperson for the NRO stated that they defer to DOGE for comment on the release of information posted on their website. Meanwhile, Musk’s team has faced another controversy, with hackers uploading hoax statements on the site claiming that the database was left open by “experts.” The White House has denied these claims, stating that there is no danger to security and that DOGE is simply attempting to be transparent about government expenditures.
