Samsung Postpones One UI 7.1 Update, Skips New Version

Samsung has delayed the release of the One UI 7.1 update and is now expected to skip it entirely due to the slow pace of fixing bugs in the stable One UI 7.0 update. As a result, the company’s next foldable smartphones, including the Galaxy Z Flip 7 and the Galaxy Z Fold 7, will likely be launched with One UI 7.0.1.

The stable One UI 7.0 update is now expected to be released to existing/older Galaxy phones with the launch of the Galaxy S25 Edge in April, according to sources. This would also bring new features such as Audio Eraser from the Galaxy S25 series to the Galaxy S24 series.

Samsung’s delay has caused a ripple effect, and it seems that Samsung is now focusing on getting the stable One UI 7.0 update out the door rather than investing time in another update cycle for One UI 7.1.
