Louisville Cardinals Secure 20th Win of Season with Dominant Road Victory

The University of Louisville men’s basketball team has achieved its first 20-win season since the pre-pandemic era, thanks to a convincing 75-60 win over Notre Dame on Sunday. This marks U of L’s 12th road victory by 10 points or more this season, tying for the most in Division-I.

Chucky Hepburn led the team with an impressive performance, scoring 16 points and contributing six assists and three steals. He also effectively shut down Notre Dame’s leading scorer, Markus Burton, resulting in a season-high six turnovers.

Five U of L starters scored in double figures, with Terrence Edwards (14), Reyne Smith (12), and J’Vonne Hadley (10) delivering well-rounded games. James Scott chipped in 10 points and grabbed 10 rebounds for his fourth double-double of the season.

The win secures Louisville’s 54th 20-win season in program history and guarantees at least one bye in next month’s ACC tournament, a welcome respite from the team’s competitiveness over the past year.
