Magic: The Gathering is set to launch a new series based on Square Enix’s iconic JRPG series, Final Fantasy. The crossover will feature four games from the beloved franchise, including Final Fantasy 6, 7, 10, and 14. The sets are expected to be released on June 13, 2025.
The new series is set to bring together powerful spells, classic summons, and iconic locations, allowing fans to weave their own stories with the game’s unique elements. The preconstructed commander decks will be available for $69.99 USD each, while a collector’s edition with all cards will cost $149.99 USD.
A first-look at the lead card from one of the decks has been released by IGN, showing off the cool art and designs that fans can expect. While some fans are excited about the new series, others are concerned about the impact on the game’s balance and coherence.
