Brandon Sklenar Sticks to Script as Blake Lively & Justin Baldoni Drama Escalates

Brandon Sklenar remained neutral in the ongoing feud between his It Ends With Us co-stars Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni. The 34-year-old actor appeared on CBS Mornings, discussing the upcoming second season of Yellowstone’s 1923 prequel. When asked about the drama between Lively, 37, and Baldoni, 41, Sklenar replied by saying he supports the movie’s message, “Team It Ends With Us.”

The legal battle between Lively and Baldoni began in December when Lively filed a sexual harassment complaint against Baldoni. He has denied the allegations but responded with a lawsuit accusing Lively, her husband Ryan Reynolds, their publicist Leslie Sloane, and Sloane’s PR firm of civil extortion and defamation.

Sklenar previously came out in support of the women behind It Ends With Us, including Isabela Ferrer, Jenny Slate, Colleen Hoover, and Lively. He stated that vilifying them over their strong message would be counterproductive, adding that what happens behind the scenes shouldn’t detract from the film’s intentions.

In December 2024, Sklenar showed support for Lively by encouraging his followers to read her full complaint on Instagram, saying “FOR THE LOVE OF GOD READ THIS” and tagging Lively’s account with a heart emoji. He also expressed that he has been helping someone close to him navigate the same situation as Lively’s character, making the movie even more meaningful.

Sklenar aims to keep the focus on the movie’s purpose and message, which is meant to spread love, awareness, and build courage. He hopes to move beyond the negativity online and let the women involved in the film be seen for their work rather than their personal struggles.
