Spotify’s Lossless Audio Streaming Coming This Year?

Spotify is reportedly nearing its highly anticipated lossless audio streaming tier, dubbed “Music Pro”, which could cost around $6/month. The service would offer premium features like discounted concert tickets and exclusive content. With these plans in place, the Swedish music giant aims to justify the extra charge by including more perks.

The development comes after Spotify signed multi-year licensing agreements with Warner Music Group and Universal Music Group, securing future streaming rights and paving the way for HiFi streaming. While competitors like Apple Music offer lossless streaming at their base price, Spotify plans to differentiate its offering through additional features. The “Music Pro” tier is expected to launch in 2025, potentially including song remixing, concert ticket sales, priority access to deluxe content, and exclusive artist Q&A sessions.

The wait for lossless audio on Spotify’s music streaming service has lasted nearly four years, but it seems the world’s biggest music streaming platform may finally be ready to deliver.
