TV legend Patricia Heaton has come out swinging against reboots, saying that two of her hit sitcoms – “The Middle” and “Everybody Loves Raymond” – were “perfection” and don’t need a revival. The actress, star of the new film “The Unbreakable Boy,” explained that she believes both shows were wrapped up perfectly by their creators.
Heaton’s comments echo those of her former co-star Ray Romano, who recently stated that “Everybody Loves Raymond” should be left alone. Heaton agreed, saying that the show was just perfect and doesn’t need to be messed with. She also shared that she has the same feelings about “The Middle,” citing its beautiful finale and the strong feeling it leaves with audiences.
In an interview with Yahoo Entertainment, Heaton discussed her new film, which is based on a true story of raising a child with autism and brittle bone disease. The actress spoke about why this movie was important to her, as she has a personal connection to the autism community. “The Unbreakable Boy” hits theaters on February 21.
