Actor Kevin Spacey has addressed allegations made by his former co-star Guy Pearce, who claimed he was “targeted” by Spacey during their time working on the 1997 film “L.A. Confidential.” Spacey responded in a video posted to X, saying that Pearce could have spoken out about any issues years ago.
In an interview for The Hollywood Reporter’s “Awards Chatter” podcast, Pearce stated that he was “scared of Kevin because he’s quite an aggressive man,” and claimed that Spacey “targeted” him. However, Spacey denied targeting anyone, saying that Pearce could have reached out to him if there were any issues.
Spacey also criticized Pearce for sharing his allegations years later, stating that he would have preferred not to play the situation out in the media. He added that Pearce needs to “grow up” and accept the reality of what happened.
The comments come as Spacey continues to face multiple sexual misconduct allegations, with many of which he has denied. In 2023, he was cleared of all charges after a four-week trial in London on claims of sexual assault.
